Core Shamanism classes

Intro to Core Shamanism  Is the primary first class Jeanne offers.  This class is a pre-requisite for taking Jeanne's other shamanic classes.  In this class you will learn about the principles of core shamanism, learn about the healing effects of the drum, learn the difference between western healing and shamanic healing, discover your power animal and learn the shamanic technique called "journeying" which enables you to access spiritual information for yourself and others.  Jeanne offers this class both in-person and as an audio class online.

2 Year Training in Core Shamanism.    This training is offered beginning each Fall.  In this training which meets every other month, on a Saturday,  students learn about the medicine wheel the first year, with the focus on healing themselves.  The second year the focus is on the healing of others learning the techniques of psychopomp work, soul retrieval and extraction, with ethics also discussed.  This training requires a 2 year commitment.  Cost of the training is $1200 which requires a $200 non-refundable deposit which pays for class #1 and class #12.  Students typically then pay $50 a month or $100 a class.  If you miss a class you are still financially responsible for the class if you want to continue on in the training, and Jeanne will send you her class notes.  If you decide to quit the training, you are not financially responsible for remaining classes, but you do forfeit class #12's payment that you made in your deposit.  This training is only offered in-person.

A New Shamanic Teacher Training is in the process of being created!  By request I have been asked to offer a shamanic teacher training and I am in the process of designing this class.  I would expect that it would be a one year commitment at least.  I will provide more information when I know more.  If you would be interested, please let me know.  A requirement for taking the class would be that you have taken either the 2 year core shamanism or the 2 year Celtic Shamanism training with Jeanne and be practicing at least 2 years since that training.  This would be an in-person class only.

Celtic Shamanism Classes

Intro to Celtic Shamanism class  Celtic Shamanism is very different from core shamanism and so I do require all students to take the Intro to Celtic Shamanism class prior to taking the 2 year training in Celtic Shamanism.  For this class, you do need to know how to journey and have a good working relationship with your power animal. (I teach this process in the Intro to Core Shamanism class).  I do need to clarify that Celtic Shamanism is not WICCA.  Celtic shamanism is based on the ancient Celts beliefs and way of life.  My Celtic training was primarily taught by Tom Cowan who has taken ancient Celtic beliefs and has taught how we can implement these beliefs and rituals in our lives today.
In this Celtic class you will learn about the values of the ancient Celts, their beliefs and way of being in the world.  You will go on an Omen Hunt to divine information for yourself.  We will look at terms that are often used within the Celtic literature--the concepts of the betwixt and between, mist walking, the four festivals and more.  This training is offered both in-person and as an audio online class and is required if you wish to attend the 2 year in-person Celtic training or the online Mentored training in Celtic Shamanism.

2 year in-person Celtic Shamanism training.  This training requires that you have taken the Intro to Celtic Shamanism class.  A new 2 year class begins each January.  In this training, the first year we work with the Celtic Spirit Wheel and the four main festivals of the year, and the gods/goddesses connected with those festivals.  You will also learn some Celtic techniques for divination and learn about life as an Ancient Celt.  In our second year we focus more on learning healing techniques including working with the Cauldrons of the Soul and Faery Doctoring.  The training consists of 12 classes and costs $1200.  As with the 2 year Core shamanism training, a $200 non-refundable deposit is required that pays for class #1 and class #12. Then students pay $50 a month or $100 per class with classes held every other month on a Saturday.  If you miss a class you are financially responsible for the missed class if you wish to continue on in the training.  If you wish to quit the training you are not financially responsible for the remaining classes, but you do forfeit your deposit which paid for class #12.

Mentored Online Celtic Shamanism Training.   This training consists of 8 audio classes.  It can be taken anytime and does not have a time limit on it.  You can move through the training at your own pace.  It consists of the same focus as the 2 year in-person training.  The first half of the classes focus on the Celtic Spirit Wheel and the festivals of the year and the Gods and Goddesses connected with those festivals.  The second half consists of learning about the Cauldrons of the Soul and how to use them for self and others healing, and Faery Doctoring.  Cost of the training is $75 per class.  You pay as you go through the training and can quit at any time.  You are required to keep an earth journal (online journal works best--Penzu is good) where you record all of your journeys.  You submit journeys to me every 2 - 3 journeys by email, and I will give you feedback on them.
