2024 Fall Shamanic Retreat Tentative Agenda

Nov. 1-3rd, Camp Knutson, Crosslake, MN

Friday, Nov. 1st
Arrival time is 1pm – 4pm.Check in at Angela Hall upon arrival on campus.
Jody Johnson will be setting up sauna times so let her know at retreat if you are interested in a sauna this weekend.
5pm—Meet at Timberlane for initial informational meeting
5:30pm---dinner at Angela Hall
7-8pm Evening session—Timberlane----A welcome and setting our circle for the weekend.
We will drum, smudge, do introductions and call in the directions and our power animals, setting the circle for the weekend. Bring your drums and rattles and eye coverings, notebook and pen, cushions/blankets for sitting on floor.
8-9pm Mary Everson in Timberlane—We will be tapping into the crystalline energy via a crystal and star language. We will bring it into ourselves, our group, and then send it out to the world.
9:15pm-10:15pm-- Shamanic Trance Dance led by Jeanne—Angela Hall. We will dance with joy and celebration and lots of love bringing in the new energies. Dress comfortably.
Saturday, Nov. 2nd
7:20am Chanting with Emily in Timberlane-- “Emily will be leading the group in a style of meditative chanting called kirtan while playing the harmonium. Two different Sanskrit mantras will be shared. The first one is helpful for calming and grounding as well as inspiring transformation and removing obstacles. The second mantra will bring us into our heart space, bringing the essence of unity, love and inner peace.”
8:01 am the sun rises—Come and drum up the sun. Arrive 5 minutes prior to the sunrise with your drum—outside lakeside at Angela Hall
8:00am--Breakfast at Angela Hall right after we drum up the sun.
9:15-9:45am Gentle morning yoga with chair yoga option with Shana Roskens---Angela Hall—Gently wake up your body for the day. Bring your mat or blanket. Chairs are provided.
10am-11:00am Morning Session with Jeanne. Timberlane. In this session we will learn about Elen of the Ways/Stars, a Celtic Goddess of the Pathways. Elen is guide and protector of the pathways and we will learn about her and how she will help us this weekend in all that we do. We will be doing a journey. Bring your notebook, pen, eye covering.
11:15-Noon Kevin Zepper will be presenting Signs Along the Path. This is a creative writing session focusing on short meditations/reflections on your current path. Materials provided. Timberlane.
Noon--Lunch at Angela Hall
Noon to 2pm—Free time to go for a walk, rest, or follow the deer trods.
2:00-3:30pm—Timberlane. Jeanne will be speaking on Celtic pathways and help us to discover the Celtic dragon pathways that are present in our life and our group. We will go on a journey so have your eye pillow, notebook and pen to record your journey.
3:45pm-4:15pm with Jeanne we will learn about our evening ceremony, the Druid Lantern Dance, music from Outlander, where we honor the Samhain energies and move beyond the veil into the land of timelessness where the ancestors will greet us. Information on how we will do this ceremony will be given and we’ll have a practice run. This will take place outside so dress appropriately. Meet in Angela initially and then go outside.
5:30pm--Dinner, Angela Hall

7:30pm--Crystal singing bowls sound bath with Melissa Danzl. Be bathed in the pure Universal energies of the crystal bowls. Bring a blanket or yoga mat to lie on the floor.
8:30pm Druid Lantern ceremony (outside at a place to be determined )and following it will be the Fire Ceremony.
8:30pm Fire Ceremony at fire ring behind Husby or if bad weather, by fireplace at Angela Hall We will go through the stargates to connect with the constellations who are helping with the ascension and connect with the Source Lovelight of the Universe through the stars into our hearts and expanding outwards into our world and Mother Earth herself. Bring your drums and rattles and a blanket if needed. (We didn’t do this last retreat and so we will do it this retreat)
9:30pm—free time, star gazing, socializing etc.
Sunday, Nov. 3rd
7:01am—Drumming up the sun—outside lakeside Angela Hall
9am – Breakfast/brunch at Angela Hall—Thank staff
10:45am Community healing for all with roses, cedar boughs, lavender and water with drumming and chanting--Angela Hall Bring your drum.
