2019 Fall Retreat Tentative Agenda: Communicating with Nature, Our Ancestors and the Stars
Shamanic Retreat, Nov. 1-3rd, Camp Knutson, Crosslake, MN
Begins Friday at 5pm and ends on Sunday by noon
You can participate it any or all activities.
Please know that recording of any sessions is not allowed. Recording threatens the safety of the retreaters regarding confidentiality. It sets up an unsafe atmosphere which deters sharing openly. Please honor the safety of the tribe. Thank you.
Friday, November 1st.
1-4:30pm—Check in at Angela Hall to get your room assignments.
5pm---Timberlane ---A quick meeting time to gather together, to answer questions, and other information on being a tribe.
5:30pm—Dinner at Angela Hall. All meals are held at Angela Hall.
7-9pm—Evening session at Timberlane. (New people meet with Jeanne at Angela Hall about 6:50pm) Bring your drums and rattles and cushions and blankets and notebook and pen.
--Welcoming, overview of weekend, setting circle, introductions, calling in power animals etc. We will spend time getting to know each other, and explore our intentions for the weekend. Our service portion is yet to be determined.
9:30pm-10:45pm—Trance Dance at Angela Hall. Wear comfortable clothes, bring a water bottle. Come and experience a dancing journey to go deep inside and work with your retreat intentions.
Saturday, November 2nd
8:00 am is sunrise—Drumming up the sun outside Angela Hall. Bring your drum. Come a few minutes before. And wearing your jammies is okay!!
8:00am Breakfast at Angela Hall.
9am-9:45am--Dancing with the Elements with Wendy Siracusa
Dance the body awake into wholeness. Using sound, movement, and imagery we connect to the elements of earth, water, fire and air and end in stillness.
Wear comfy clothes and bring a water bottle.
10:00 am – 11:50am –Morning Session: Timberlane and Angela Hall
We will start out with our opening for the day at Timberlane with drumming and any announcements and will go over the agenda for the day. Then we will move to Angela for a presentation by Kevin Zepper on Models of the Universe: Writing the wild, where participants will find an object in nature from our outdoor retreat space and with the nature artifact as our focus, we will write about it beyond the ordinary.
2:30- ? Afternoon Session: Timberlane
Laurie Brustad Kennedy will be presenting, "Singing over the Bones - Ancestral loss, healing and Reconnection with our Personal Lineage which includes the healing and increasing light in living DNA which amplifies the "song" bringing us closer to our original blueprint, Galactic shamanism and working with our personal lineage. Laurie told me we will be working with the star ancestors and the dragons!
5:30pm—Dinner at Angela Hall
7:00-7:30pm—Crystal Singing Bowls with Elissa Stevens—Angela Hall Bring a blanket, pillow, or yoga mat to lie down on to experience the healing of the crystal bowls.
8:00pm—Fire Ceremony at fire pit by Husby (weather permitting) or inside in front of fireplace at Angela Hall.Bring your drums! We will be sharing the wisdom of nature from our writings from Kevin's presentation. Ending galactic focus is yet to be determined.
Following the fire ceremony come join us Stargazing at the Point (weather permitting). If the skies are clear, we like to go down to the Point, lay in a circle head to center, and talk to the star ancestors. Be sure to wear warm clothing. I have a tarp or two I can bring and if you have a blanket, please bring that too! The rest of the evening is yours to enjoy!!

Sunday, November 3rd:
7:02 am—Drumming up the sun at Angela Hall—you can come in your jammies!
9:00am—Breakfast/brunch at Angela Hall and Thanking staff
10:45am—Angela Hall—Community Healing for all with roses, cedar boughs, lavender and sacred water with drumming and chanting.
11:30am—Closing circle. Thanks, gratitude. Carissa’s song.
