2017 Fall Retreat Tentative Agenda
Shamanic Retreat, Nov. 3-4-5, Camp Knutson, Crosslake, MN
Begins Friday at 5pm and ends on Sunday by noon
You can participate it any or all activities.
Please know that recording of any sessions is not allowed. Recording threatens the safety of the retreaters regarding confidentiality. It sets up an unsafe atmosphere which deters sharing openly. Please honor the safety of the tribe. Thank you.
Friday, November 3rd.
1-4:30pm—Check in at Angela Hall to get your room assignments.
Around 3pm---Sauna—Kent will be leading our sauna time this retreat and if you would like to participate in the sauna prior to the start of the retreat, please sign up for it when you arrive at Angela Hall to get your room assignments. There will be a sign up sheet there for you. Kent will also offer sauna time several times during the retreat.
5pm---Timberlane ---A quick meeting time to gather together, to answer questions, and other information on being a tribe.
5:30pm—Dinner at Angela Hall. All meals are held at Angela Hall.
7-9pm—Evening session at Timberlane. (New people meet with Jeanne at Angela Hall about 6:50pm) Bring your drums and rattles and cushions and blankets and notebook and pen.
--Welcoming, overview of weekend, setting circle, introductions, calling in power animals, building our cairn, discussion on the dark time of the year, journey to the Old Bone Mother.
9:30pm-10:45pm—Trance Dance at Angela Hall. Wear comfortable clothes, bring a water bottle.
Saturday, November 4th
7:10am-7:55am—Energy Medicine Yoga with Wendy Siracusa at Angela Hall. Bring a yoga mat or blanket to use on the floor.
8:04am is sunrise—Drumming up the sun at Angela Hall. Bring your drum. Come a few minutes before.
Breakfast immediately follows drumming up the sun at Angela Hall.
9am-9:45am—Chanting with Kent Spies. Kent will lead us in a kirtan style chanting. If you have a mala, please bring it. I will also have some for sale at the retreat for $8.00.
10am – 11:55am –Morning Session:
Jeanne will lead us in the morning session where we will learn about the violet flame of Atlantis and participate in an activation of this flame in our bodies through a group meditation. She will also discuss the rainbow body, and we will then go outside to participate in a grid formation inside the labyrinth. Bring your crystal skulls, drums, notebooks, pen and have appropriate outdoor clothing with you.
2pm - ? Afternoon Session:
Laurie Brustad Kennedy will begin by talking about Atlantis, and then will share info on her experiences at a workshop in Arkansas and a stargate workshop in New Orleans. There will be a short break and then she will lead us in a meditation traveling in our merkaba back to the Golden Age of Atlantis. Journaling, discussion and processing will follow!!!! (I’m so excited)!!
5:30pm—Dinner at Angela Hall
7:30pm—Fire Ceremony at fire pit by Husby . Bring drums, and you will be instructed as to what else from nature you will need to bring.
8:30pm—Stargazing at the Point. If the skies are clear, we like to go down to the Point, lay in a circle head to center, and talk to the star ancestors. Be sure to wear warm clothing. I have a tarp or two I can bring and if you have a blanket, please bring that too!
The rest of the evening is yours to enjoy!!
It’s daylight savings time so turn your clocks back an hour tonight! We have an extra hour to spend together at retreat!
Sunday, November 5th:
7:04am—Drumming up the sun at Angela Hall—you can come in your jammies!!
9:00am—Breakfast/brunch at Angela Hall and Thanking staff
10:45am—Angela Hall—Community Healing for all with roses, cedar boughs, lavender and water with drumming and chanting.
11:30am—Closing circle. Thanks, gratitude. Carissa’s song.
